I’m known by many names. Devil, Beast, Monster … They’re all the same to me. I’m renowned for my ruthlessness, but those who truly know me see me for what I am as a leader—fair, just, exacting. In my line of work, I don’t go out of my way to harm people who don’t deserve it. If you cross me, however, I’ll make sure you never get the chance to do so again. But then I stumble upon a strange, mysterious girl. This little slip of a girl has awakened something within that’s truly bestial, but all I want to do is be gentle with her. More importantly, she’s a distraction from my objectives. Will I be able to take care of her while taking care of the people who keep destroying my chance at more power?

Nothing has gone to plan so far. It’s not like I was asking to have it easy, but I certainly didn’t expect it to be this hard. After running away from home (and my hideously awful stepfather), I just can’t catch a break. I’ve been alternating between living out of shady, crumbling hotels and the car I technically stole from my stepdad. It’s just a matter of time until the law catches up to me. When I accidently put a dent in an expensive car, it feels like the jig is up. I can’t keep running anymore, not when I just know the owner of the fancy car is going to report me. But when the owner steps out and hands me a check for repairs to my own vehicle and then some. Who is this handsome stranger, and why is he the first thing in weeks that I don’t feel like running from?
